This is a mail-in service for your existing Sega Dreamcast. I replace all of the aging electrolytic capacitors on BOTH the mainboard AND the power supply (PSU) board with brand-new, high-quality replacement caps to protect your system from the damage that old, leaking capacitors can cause. A recap may resolve issues like low or distorted audio, intermittent power, and video glitches, and is a great preventative measure on these aging systems.

QUALITY PARTS: I use name-brand, high-quality capacitors from trusted manufacturers such as Nichicon, Rubycon, Panasonic, and KEMET, and occasionally premium recap kits from Console5. No cheap, low-grade caps - only reliable parts meant to last for years.

WHAT'S INCLUDED: full removal of all original electrolytic capacitors from both the mainboard and the PSU, cleaning of any old electrolyte residue from the boards, installation of new high-quality capacitors, and testing to confirm the console powers on and works correctly. Return shipping back to you is included in the price.

HOW IT WORKS: After purchase, you ship me your Dreamcast and I perform the recap, then ship it back to you. Once your unit is in hand, typical work/turnaround time is about 4-5 days, plus shipping each way.
