Welcome to Vaulted Finds — where exceptional antique instruments and estate discoveries find their next owner.

Offered from a private collection is a beautiful antique 4/4 violin modeled after the legendary Carlo Bergonzi, dating to circa 1890–1910 and likely crafted in the renowned violin-making region of Saxony, Germany.

This finely made instrument features a stunning one-piece flamed maple back with pronounced horizontal “tiger stripe” figuring — a premium characteristic reserved for higher-quality violins of the period. The carved spruce top displays straight resonance grain and a rich natural patina developed over more than a century.

Executed in the classic Bergonzi style, the violin features broad shoulders, elegant f-holes, and a masterfully carved scroll. The pegbox shows professional bushings, suggesting the instrument was carefully maintained and valued by previous owners. Fitted with ebony pegs, fingerboard, and chinrest.
