Product Description:
Explore the fascinating world of thermodynamics with the SB-STLSG(C) 4-Cylinder Stirling Engine Generator Model. This compact external combustion engine model is designed for physics demonstrations, STEM education, mechanical experiments, and desktop display.
Invented by Robert Stirling in 1816, the Stirling engine operates through repeated heating and cooling cycles that cause gas expansion and contraction, converting thermal energy into mechanical motion. This four-cylinder generator model visually demonstrates these principles with smooth flywheel operation and precision mechanical movement.
Built with aluminum alloy, quartz glass, and an acrylic base, the engine combines scientific learning with mechanical craftsmanship, making it suitable for students, educators, collectors, and engine enthusiasts.

Stirling Engine Principle:
The Stirling engine was invented by Robert Stirling in 1816. It operates by repeatedly heating and cooling gas inside the engine. Heated gas expands to drive the piston, while cooled gas contracts, producing continuous cyclic motion.
As an external combustion engine, fuel burns outside the cylinder while expanding gas powers piston movement.
Instructions for Use:
-
Place the engine model on a flat horizontal surface.
-
Carefully install the heating tube onto the heating cylinder head while slowly rotating during installation to avoid damaging the sealing ring and heating tube. Keep the tube parallel to prevent friction between the displacement piston and heating tube.
-
Remove the alcohol lamp cap and fill approximately 2/3 with pure alcohol only. Do not use other fuels. Ignite safely.
-
Heat for approximately 20 seconds until the flywheel begins rotating.
-
Do not touch heated parts during operation.
