Vintage Hot Wheels 1976-1977 '57 Chevy — Rare Original REDLINE Variation — Very Good Condition

Item Overview

Up for auction/sale is a very clean, collector-grade example of the classic vintage Hot Wheels '57 Chevy in vibrant red enamel. Designed by Larry Wood for the 1977 Flying Colors line, this specific car features the highly sought-after authentic Redline wheels from the transitional year before Mattel permanently switched to blackwalls.

This is a beautiful survivor piece that presents incredibly well and makes an excellent addition to any vintage Redline collection.

Detailed Condition Breakdown — Very Good

Graphics & Tampos: The iconic yellow and white "57 CHEVY" side tampos are remarkably well-preserved. As seen in the photos, the graphics on both the driver and passenger sides are highly intact, sharp, and free of the heavy rubbing or fading common with this casting.

Paint & Body: The red enamel paint retains a beautiful gloss and shine. In accordance with its vintage age and a "Very Good" grading, there are minor, expected micro-flea bites and light edge wear along the sharp rear fins and the ridges of the hood. The body remains straight and structurally sound.

Base & Factory Rivets: The undercarriage features its original chrome-plated plastic base, which still holds a brilliant, highly reflective mirror finish with minimal aging. Both the front and rear rivets are completely untouched, smooth, and factory-spun, confirming the car has never been opened or modified.

Wheels & Axles: Equipped with original two-piece Redline wheels. The chrome on the hubs is clean, the red lines are distinct, and the axles are straight, allowing the car to roll smoothly.
