This is a gorgeous antique hand painted porcelain celery dish and salt dips set. The set features dogwood pink roses with shadow leaves on the gradient yellow background and gold trim. The celery dish measures 10.5" diameter x 5" wide. The salt cellars measure 4" long x 2.5" wide.
The set has the 1920 - 1944 blue RS Germany Tillowitz mark. They came from a local estate sale.

Salt cellars are known, in various forms, by assorted names including open salt, salt dip, standing salt, master salt, and salt dish. Salt cellars, as well as individual salt and pepper shakers, are placed above an individual place setting or, when shared, above and in between the two place settings. Today, salt cellars can also be used for individual condiment servings (ketchup, clotted cream, duck sauce, soy sauce, jam, mustard, etc) or any number of other uses including use as butter pats, sugar cubes, tea bag holders, lemon wedges or pretty receptacle for after dinner mints.

Excellent vintage condition, no chips or cracks. But in buying vintage, you will find minor scratches, scuffs, different colored, patina or other 'evidence' of the items previous use.

See pictures for full description and  condition details, please look carefully at the pictures, they are part of my description.  But, please note, due to the individual computers, phones and monitor settings, actual color could be slightly different than you see on your screen.

If you have any questions I would be happy to attempt to answer them, or take more pictures.

I AM ALWAYS WILLING TO COMBINE SHIPPING COSTS ON MULTIPLE PURCHASES I will refund your shipping discount after sending.

The vast majority of  my packing and shipping materials, including bubble wrap, air pillows, brown and white packing  paper,  tissue paper, plastic bags, all sorts of styrofoam,  preformed plastic, padded mailers, plastic mailers, envelopes, boxes,  sticker labels, etc....have been previously used and recycled again.  I do this to give these items, which most people seemingly  think of as instantly disposable,  an additional life and  purpose. I have teamed up with a few local businesses, friends and family (as of us have  like recycling mindsets) with  the hope to keep many of these products out of landfills for as long as possible.  Your shipping package may not  be the most  visually pleasing, but it will be well packed, personally, by me, without adding  new items to our already overcrowded landfills.

Thank you for looking!
