Set against a story of alien organ‑harvesting and the covert operations of SHADO, the series demanded a score of scale, tension and emotional depth.
Composer Barry Gray, long‑time musical collaborator of the Andersons, delivered one of his most distinctive works: a blend of orchestral drama, eerie electronic textures and the now‑iconic ethereal closing theme.
This 2026 expanded reissue presents the most complete edition of the soundtrack, newly remastered and including the bonus track Trampoline by The Spencer Davis Group from the episode Ordeal.
