Seventh Edition – Revised, 1919

There is in the aspect and situation of Bath a charm which not only appeals at once to the visitor but is the constant joy and pride of those most familiar with it.  The beautiful city in its quiet garb of soft grey, as it nestles amid the green of the encircling hills, presents an alluring picture of which the eye never tires.  Towers and spires, groves and gardens, stately thoroughfares that have made their architects famous, historic memorials erected centuries ere the English nation was founded, surrounding hills and vales of exceeding beauty, combine to give Bath a proud position among the cities of our land.

This book allows you to experience the feel of Bath as it was more than 100 years ago.

This 1919 softback edition book remains in good overall condition considering its more than 105 years of age however there are signs of wear to the cover in the form of bumps, knocks, rubbing and marks to the edges and corners (see photograph).  All pages are present, remain secure, and free from tears, creases, and any significant marks other than handling marks commensurate with the book’s age, some spotting on the blank reverse sides of the fold-out maps, and some age-related discolouration to some pages.  The book runs to 160 pages (17cm x 11cm), includes a general index and an additional approximate 100 pages of advertisements.  It is illustrated with maps within the text, two large fold-out maps, plus an additional 48 pages of photographs.
