1. early to mid 1800s
2. solid
3. all the joints are solid, no wiggle
4. paint loss and some rust
4. one rust spot has made a tiny hole 1/16 in., at one of the joints
5. also one small hair line gap in one joint
6. this is not a reproduction, it is authentic
7. little round trim edge on the hearing end, to make it smooth against your skin
8. very hard to find item
9. needs a little cleaning but strong
