What is a doujin CG collection?

It's essentially a digital artbook! A CG collection is a disc / disk containing an assortment of digital artwork computer graphics, and were a common form of doujin (fan-made) Japanese media particularly throughout the 90's and early 2000's. Authors / artists that produce and sell doujin work do so as a circle, a group of artists / authors that produce doujin works (though sometimes circles can be one-person operations).

Doujin media is self-published and often have very few copies produced depending on the popularity of the circle. Most doujin works are only ever briefly sold at annual convention events such as Comiket (Comic Market), or sometimes by directly mail order from the circle's website. Due to the nature of how these were produced and distributed it can be extremely difficult to track down any specific CG collection. It can often take many years for specific copies to surface, and this is especially so for copies that surface outside of Japan!

The artwork contained within can range widely! Some will contain general content suited for all ages, while others contain very much adսlt only content. Be sure to review what you're purchasing the best you can if you wish to avoid certain types of content, and ask us questions if you have any concerns.

For those intending to run the disk rather than just keeping it as a novelty: 

This was produced for early operating systems and will require either original hardware or special emulation tools and disk drives to get running. We have not tested the disk ourselves, we only do a general inspection to check for obvious damage the disk may have. While a disk in good physical condition with no obvious damage is likely to run, floppies can simply fail due to age degradation. Please keep this in mind when deciding to purchase.
