Up for sale: Athearn 88662 HO Union Pacific #60 Veranda Turbine  - DCC Ready

This Athearn 88662 HO Union Pacific #60 Veranda Turbine  - DCC Ready is brand new.  It comes from an estate where the collector ran very few items in his collection.  We did open this an ran it on our test track and it ran great.  It features detailed plastic construction, plastic trucks with silver side frames, operating knuckle couplers and metal wheels and axles.   The loco runs on standard DC power.  It is DCC Ready - see notes below. Two speaker mounting points molded into underframe to accept speakers up to 1.20" in diameter.  Please see pictures.  Note:  The lead picture is an Athearn stock photo.

DCC Installation Notes:

The Athearn Gas turbine is designed to accept either an 8-pin or 9-pin Decoder.  The 8-pin decoder is installed into the socket in the rear circuit board on the locomotive.  To install a 9-pin decode, first remove the jumper board installed into the 9-pin socket.  See additional notes on the Athearn product info included with the loco.




Box Condition:    Original box & packaging.  Excellent.  Very minor signs of storage wear.  All original paper work is present.
