This is a vintage Japanese-made Daiwa Jupiter 9143-9½ salmon / sea trout fly rod, most likely dating from the late 1970s to early 1980s. The markings show:
The deep amber/brown blank and whipped intermediates are very typical of higher-end Daiwa salmon fly rods from that era. The large butt guide and full wells handle indicate it was designed for salmon and large migratory trout fishing with a single-handed 8/9-weight line.
