This Balance-Type Stirling Engine Model is a miniature external combustion engine designed for demonstration, display, and micro power generation. It clearly illustrates the working principle of a Stirling engine and can generate electricity when operated with a small alcohol lamp.

The Stirling engine, invented in 1816 by Robert Stirling, operates through the expansion and contraction of gas caused by heating and cooling. As an external combustion engine, fuel burns outside the cylinder, causing heated air (or gas) to expand and drive the piston, then cool and contract in a continuous cycle. This repeated process produces smooth and consistent mechanical motion.

This model also functions as a micro generator, capable of producing electrical output suitable for small electronic loads such as LED lights and micro devices.
