This 1990 release by thrash legends Death Angel is now over 35 years old and this is reflected in the condition of both the sleeves . This vinyl has had heavy play over those 35 years but still plays fine with only the odd low crackle in some of the silent/quiet parts. It is by no means in mint condition but it does have that old school thrash charm about it - in other words, it looks like it has been used a lot, which is how any vinyl this old should look if it's any good!
The outer sleeve is in a Good plus condition with no splits on the seams or spine. Ringwear can be seen to both front and back. There are a few scuffs on the spine/corner and a marking (scratch) to the front of the sleeve (see pictures). It has the feel and looks of a classic thrash album.
The inner sleeve is in a Good condition with no splits or rips. It is made from very thin paper though so does have a visible crinkle look about it and ringwear is clearly visible because of the low quality paper used. Again nothing really wrong with it, just a tad tired looking due to a combination of it's age, usage and poor quality paper used.
The vinyl itself seems to have fared a whole lot better than the sleeves. The vinyl is in a Very Good VG) condition with very minimal signs of groovewear. Though light hairlines are visible these aren't excessive in number and none are heavy or ugly. There is the odd surface mark in a handful of places but nothing that affects the playing or the enjoyment of the vinyl. The low crackle previously mentioned is only really noticeable in the run in/out and towards the end of the last song on side two.
Overall this 35+ year old well used album might not be in the greatest condition to look at, but is in a great condition to listen to. If you are a 'sleeve' person it probably isn't for you but for anyone looking to build up their collection with original releases, or anybody who loves the feel and look of old school thrash albums, this could be for you.
Note the recorded clip attached - that is the sound of the sea not surface noise at the start before the music kicks in. It may sound like surface noise on your phone!
