Victorian Chas. Farlow & Co brass trout fly reel dating from approximately 1885–1900.

Engraved to the back plate:

“Chas. Farlow & Co. Makers, 191 Strand, London”

A genuine late Victorian Farlow reel with attractive untouched patina, original horn handle, brass foot, and internal check mechanism.

Measures approximately 2.5 inches diameter and weighs 212 grams.

The reel winds smoothly with a strong audible check. Internals appear complete and original. A very collectible early London-made trout reel from one of Britain’s most important tackle makers.

Condition:

A superb display or collection piece and still perfectly usable on a traditional cane rod.
