It is a set of 5 ceramic marching band figures that were made in Barcelos, Portugal. They are known as "Barcelos Whistles" because if you blow into the area on the bottom of the backside, they are whistles. The one reading the sheet music is missing its right arm, but the whistle still works. The one playing the black-colored horn is missing the top of its hat, but the whistle still works. The one playing the saxophone is missing the top of its hat, but the whistle still works. The one playing the gold object is missing the top of its hat and the mouthpiece of the whistle. The whistle doesn't work for that one. The one playing the symbols is in the best condition with just a chip on the front of its base, and its whistle still works.
