Genuine CWC G10 British Army issued Quartz Watch 1998 in mint condition, early & etched very low serial number example 0538: Like all my watches this has either been sourced directly from the MoD & or one of its Approved Disposal Contractors, it has previously been used in British military service made & first issued in 1998. This watch is in fantastic condition, there will be the odd very small mark & wear to the case as it has been issued to & worn by a member of our HM Forces. They were only issued to Commissioned Officers & some very lucky Non-Commissioned Officers but would have had to be returned at the end of their Commission/Military service. It will not be the cheapest on the market but if you want one of the finest remaining direct supplied examples that has been sympathetically refurbished whilst retaining the watches authenticity then this is the watch for you. It has just returned from being professionally serviced which included being stripped, cleaned, a new acrylic crystal glass & correct sized battery fitted. It will be supplied to you with a brand new Genuine CWC British issue military strap in your choice of 3 colours, either current issue Military Grey, Black or Green, Please note do not wear in water or in the shower as they were not waterproof, only water resistant when new, let alone 30+ years later so no refund will be given for any water/moisture ingress. Please wear it & enjoy it but it deserves to be looked after as it is a piece of British Military history & with values raising all the time a great investment too!Made by the Cabot Watch Company they supplied over 160,000 G10 watches to the MOD for 26 years between 1980 and 2006 mainly across the British Army (W10) & Royal Navy (0552) then a few to the Royal Marines (0555) during 1995 only & if you are very lucky you may find a very rare Royal Air force (6B/6BB). The G10 design was supplied in 3 different thicknesses the thickest/heaviest being nicknamed the 'fatboy' or 'full fatboy' supplied between 1980 and 1982, then the slightly slimmer/lighter 'medium' fatboy 1984 to 1985. Finally the slimmest/lightest version being the 1987 to 2006 examples when the contract ended. Other CWC Diver watches are still supplied to our armed forces to this day including the Special Boat Service (SBS) & Specialist Diving Units.
