This fully metal mini steam engine model is a functional vertical boiler steam engine designed for educational demonstrations, mechanical enthusiasts, and collectible display. Made from brass and 6061 aluminum alloy, the model features a working steam power system with an alcohol lamp heating setup and integrated steam channel structure.

After water inside the boiler is heated by the alcohol lamp, steam is directed into the oscillating cylinder system, driving the piston and flywheel continuously to demonstrate the working principle of a traditional steam engine.

⚙️ Working Principle
Steam generated in the boiler enters the cylinder through the steam inlet, pushing the piston forward to perform mechanical work. The flywheel inertia continues rotation, allowing the cylinder to alternate between intake and exhaust positions, creating a continuous reciprocating steam cycle.

🛠 Instructions for Use

1. Rotate the flywheel by hand to check for smooth operation. If necessary, adjust the screws accordingly (already adjusted before shipment).
2. Ensure all moving parts are clean.
3. Unscrew the water inlet valve.
4. Use a syringe (not included) to add hot water into the boiler until it reaches approximately half capacity.
5. Fill the alcohol lamp to below two-thirds full. Medical-grade 95% alcohol is recommended. Place the alcohol lamp into the bottom section.
6. Light the alcohol lamp and heat for 5–10 minutes. Rotate the flywheel by hand and the engine will begin operating automatically.

⚠️ Safety Notes

• Do not touch the heated boiler or connected metal parts to avoid burns.
• Avoid touching the alcohol lamp during prolonged heating.
• Suitable for ages 16 and above.
• During heating, the alcohol lamp wick must not touch the boiler.
• Do not apply lubricating oil to the piston.
• The model does not require lubrication oil.
• The engine may operate at high speed; prevent vibration or falling during operation.
