An authentic, original Soviet-era hardcover edition of Leo Tolstoy's masterpiece, "War and Peace" (Volume 4), published in Moscow in 1968. This volume belongs to the highly collectible Soviet series "Library of the Historical Novel" (БИР). It is entirely printed in the original Russian language and features a classic mid-century minimalist layout complete with the official USSR publisher colophon and table of contents.

Volume Features: Contains Parts 1–4 of Volume 4, along with Parts 1–2 of the Epilogue.Includes Tolstoy’s famous explanatory essay, "A Few Words on 'War and Peace'" (Несколько слов по поводу книги «Война и мир»).
