The quick coupling needs to be used together with a male connector and a female connector! Therefore, you have to purchase a male connector and a female connector at the same time. In addition, if the male connector built-in a check valve, you have to purchase a female connector which also built-in a check valve.
When the male coupling and the female coupling are independent in a piping system, either of them has a shut-off valve function to prevent liquid or gas leakage and flowback.
When the male coupling and the female coupling are locked together by the snap ring, the pipeline can be formed into a passage in an instant; when the snap ring is released, the male coupling and the female coupling are automatically separated, both ends of the pipe are closed instantly.
The temperature range is -40F to 180F.They can handle a vacuum to 120 psi. There will be no leakage or air after it is disconnected. So you need not worry about them leaking gas.
