Big 12" signed Classic Quezal Gold Iridescent Art Glass Vase is particularly striking given its great color, condition, and supersize. Large Quezal vases (over 10") were never common, and ALL QUEZAL was expensive when new. I've seen many original Quezal price tags over the years, and retail prices were similar to Favrile glass, and many Chicago retailers/jewelers sold both side by side. Very impressive in person, and very clean in the making. Earlier signature, ca. 1905. Very light signs of gentle handling & use, but this was a treasured family heirloom from a time when Chicago's immense wealth spilled into mansions across the city, filling them with the best of what America & Europe artists were producing.
