Clean example of boxcab electric loco on 7.5” frame is original red with cream inserts, stamped lettering, mostly brass trim. Loco is very clean with only light wear, few tiny edge nicks and some wear/chips at rear of roof-edge. Brass trim is mostly clean, has original cast headlight, minor fatigue and chip at front edge. Original couplers are clean. “Lionel” lettering is worn, 248 numbers show only light wear. 2 wheels have been replaced with vintage spoke-type, original 2 are disc type. The frame covers the wheels so this does not show. Wiring has some repairs. Loco ran, forward only type motor, and headlight worked when tested. Sold as is, no operation warranty due to age, made about 1930. A very clean example of this boxcab. Hard to find this nice.
