This is a hand carved mini Dol Hareubang (Stone Grandfather) figurine from Jeju Island in South Korea.  It was carved out of a special porous basalt rock that is only found on Jeju.  The statue is a replica of the large Dol Hareubang that guard the entrances to temples on the island and are said to be symbols of fertility.  This one was hand carved to be sold to tourists.  It is 3.5 inches tall and 1.5 inches in diameter at the base.  It is a perfect miniature of the real thing!  It is in EXCELLENT CONDITION!  There are no chips, cracks, major scratches, nicks or discoloration.
