Constantly shapeshifting and blending genres, today (5/9) the band has surprised fans with a new track, “I'm Disappointed,” and the announcement of a new EP to be released on July 31st. “I'm Disappointed” finds the band stretching musically into new territory, dare we even say it has early punk leanings. With a high BPM, and an obvious nod to the Ramones, Starflyer 59 has again made things fresh and new. Vocally and lyrically, frontman Jason Martin keeps things low key, grounded, and melancholy in the usual vibe of SF59. With the new EP in the can, the band is currently working on its next full-length record, which will assuredly offer more new sounds for their fan base to soak up.
