Vintage fox bottle stopper with decorative pewter or pewter-effect metal top and natural cork base.

The stopper features a detailed standing fox finial, giving it a country, hunting, equestrian or traditional barware style. Around the collar is an attractive engraved grape and vine pattern, with darker age-related patina sitting within the recessed detail.

The metal appears to be pewter or pewter-effect white metal. I have not found a maker’s mark or metal hallmark, so the exact metal is not guaranteed.

The cork is damaged and worn, with visible chipping, splitting and age-related deterioration. It may still be suitable as a decorative display piece, or the cork could potentially be replaced carefully by the buyer if desired. This has not been attempted by me.

A nice vintage decorative piece for a home bar, drinks cabinet, country-style kitchen, wine display, fox-themed collection or barware collection.
