ANTIQUE Railroad Railway Exchange TRACK BROOM WITH LABEL O.K. Broom Chicago 55" in length.

Rare railroad item indeed, and still usefull to sweep out the train room! Up for auction is a very good old broom marked with a lable from a Railroad Exchange company. At one end of the broom handle is a steel blade for cleaning ice out of switches, the other end is a stiff sweeping type broom. Back in the day, these were used on the trolley tracks of Chicago. They would commonly be kept near the salt box which held rock salt to also be use to keep switches and track free of ice and derbris. Nice unusual piece for collectors and usable. I don't know of many collectors who can boast they have one.

Please see my other listings, I will be liquidating a Large Golf Collection over the next few months which includes many items from the estate of Past PGA Of America President and 43 year Masters Tournament Rules Official Warren Orlick.
