Pre-installation instructions: Before installation, first check if the system is sluggish with power steering fluid. Before installing the power steering pump, the fluid reservoir must be cleaned or replaced (cleaning method: remove the fluid reservoir, use a carburetor spray to clean the filter, then use an air gun to backflush the reservoir; pour out the cleaning liquid from the top opening). After this, reinstall the power steering fluid reservoir and install the new power steering pump. Add standard power steering fluid to the reservoir. Manually rotate the power steering pump pulley clockwise; power steering fluid will come out from the high-pressure port. Connect the pulley to the high-pressure hose of the steering gear, install the belt, and rotate it at low speed for three minutes. Then check the fluid level in the reservoir while it is running at high speed. If the fluid level is low, add fluid while the vehicle is running until the appropriate level is reached. Installation complete! After installing the new pump, any abnormal noises, as long as the system is not sluggish, are generally due to problems with the fluid reservoir, power steering fluid, or the interface seals!
