Synopsis:

This issue of DC's Secret Origins anthology presents the complete origin histories of all four Clayfaces in a single oversized volume, serving as essential background reading for the Mud Pack storyline then running in Detective Comics - a crossover that united all four versions of the villain against Batman for the first time. Basil Karlo, the original Clayface whose murderous jealousy transformed him into a copy-cat killer, is traced back to the Golden Age by writer Mike W. Barr with art by Keith Giffen; Matt Hagen's transformation into the shape-shifting Clayface II gets its post-Crisis treatment; Len Wein, who created Clayface III, retells the tragic origin of Preston Payne - the scientist whose need for physical contact spreads his condition as a killing touch - with art by Tom Grummett; and Sondra Fuller's origin as Lady Clayface rounds out the issue. Featuring a striking Kevin Nowlan cover and contributions from some of the sharpest creative talents in DC's Copper Age stable, this is one of the most useful reference issues in the Secret Origins run for Batman villain collectors and Clayface-arc completists.

9.4 - 9.0 Near Mint to Very Fine / Near Mint (NM to VF/NM)

High Grade Range

8.5 - 7.0 Very Fine plus to Fine / Very Fine (VF+ to FN/VF)

Mid Grade Range

6.5 - 5.5 Fine plus to Fine minus (FN+ to FN-)

Low Grade Range

5.0 - 3.5 Very Good / Fine to Very Good minus (VG/FN to VG-)

Reader Grade Range

3.0 - 1.0 Good / Very Good to Fair (GD/VG to FR)

Shipping:

Unless noted, raw comics ship individually bagged and boarded. Up to 6 Standard 32 page comics (3 Oversize) will be packed in a magazine bag, sandwiched with cardboard and shipped in a rigid mailer. Orders of over 6 Standard or 3 Oversize comics will be packed securely and ship boxed. There is a limit of 2 Standard with 2 Oversize comic books to a mailer.
