Vintage Large Botanical Print Cinera cum flore Hand Colored by Basilius Besler

Gorgeous vintage or older, very large botanical illustration hand colored print. This one is titled Cinera cum flore which is a reproduction of a 17th C artwork by Basilius Besler. The artwork illustrates a cardoon, a type of artichoke thistle, with large blue green central bud. The print is matted. The matting measures 32" by 24" wide. The print is 22" by 17". Unfortunately, there is water damage to the bottom of matting and print. Please see images. No rips or tears. Additional water damage to top left and top matting section. It's so pretty!
