This is a kozuka believed to date from the Edo period.
The handle of the kozuka has worn down over time, but what appears to be a komainu (guardian lion-dog) can be seen engraved on it.
A blade is included, and faint markings that appear to be characters or writing can be seen on it, though they are too worn to be legible.
Finding the same type of kozuka is extremely difficult, so please consider purchasing it if you are a collector
