This is a kozuka believed to be from the Edo period. The handle features a design of a katana and armor.
The handle features a design of a katana, armor, and a kabuto (helmet) — a complete set of samurai equipment. A blade is included, and the blade has faint markings that appear to be characters or writing, though they are not legible.
The blade also retains a faint hamon (temper line). This would make a wonderful addition to any Japanese sword enthusiast's collection!(*^▽^*)
