This listing is for one used DENON POA 2200 STEREO AUDIO POWER AMPLIFIER

SELLING FOR PARTS OR REPAIRS

REASON: The amplifier plays just fine and it is actually a very good sounding amplifier with a massive transformer.  It delivers a lot of power and has a very clean crisp and detailed sound but has recently developed a very occasional clicking sound coming from inside the unit.  This sound originates internally and it is not heard via the speakers.  It sounds to me like a relay.

 

Externally the unit has a few minor scratches consistent with age.  Internally the boards look pretty clean.

 

I have other amplifiers that I use, and I am only selling it due to retirement and downsizing.  I am currently not equipped to work on it but do know that the relays are available new today under cross-referenced new part numbers and are pretty cheap.

 

This power amplifier has excellent specs and a sound to match and exceeds the sound quality of many newer amplifiers at a fraction of the cost.  A great buy for someone handy soldering!
