A 2004 Gibson SG Standard in Ebony Black has arrived.

This model follows the traditional SG Standard design, featuring a crown inlay on the headstock, dish inlays on the fretboard, neck binding, and green-key tuners. This particular model is a 2004 model with a large pickguard.

The body is a solid mahogany body, the neck is a set-neck mahogany, and the fretboard is rosewood. It adheres to the traditional SG Standard specifications, including the crown inlay on the headstock, dish inlays on the fretboard position markers, neck binding, and green-key Kluson Deluxe tuners.

The pickguard is the large pickguard specification adopted after the mid-1966 specification change.

Furthermore, a characteristic of SG Standards from this period is the neck, which is slightly wider at the nut width (43mm) and has a slightly thicker U-shape profile, resulting in a rich resonance, sustain, and a fat sound.

This guitar features Gibson's modern classic pickups: a 490R in the neck position and a 498T in the bridge position. While retaining the classic Gibson humbucker sound, the high-power Alnico magnets allow for deep distortion and a fat, punchy modern sound.

Controls are 2 Volume, 2 Tone, and 1 Toggle Switch.

With its mahogany body, it boasts a rich, thick, and sweet tone with ample mid-low frequencies, a good balance of resonance and tightness, a clear and responsive tone, and a powerful, punchy high-mid range—a truly excellent modern classic SG sound.

The condition is good.

While there are some signs of wear and use, the neck, frets, pickups, and electronics are in good playing condition.

The string action is low, making it easy to play, and the sound output is excellent. While the exterior shows some minor dents, scratches, and signs of use, it's in a player's condition with no major paint chips or significant damage. Overall, it's in good, used condition.

A genuine hardshell case is included.

This 2004 Gibson SG Standard retains the classic SG sound while offering a fat, tight, and powerful, stable tone, making it a user-friendly model.
