A used Gibson Acoustic Southern Jumbo, a renowned classic model, has arrived in our inventory.

This Southern Jumbo is known as a guitar that originated in the mid-1940s as a higher-end model of the J-45. This current model features the specifications of the 1955 and later models, including a large pickguard and a crown inlay on the headstock.

As expected of this model, it features double parallelogram inlays on the fretboard, a crown inlay on the headstock as mentioned above, and multi-layered body binding, giving it a luxurious finish that sets it apart from the J-45.

High-precision Grover tuners are used. Furthermore, it is equipped with an L.R. Baggs Element VTC pickup, considered the world standard for acoustic guitar pickups, accurately outputting the Southern Jumbo's rich low end and crisp sound. This acoustic guitar is versatile enough for everything from stage performances to home recording, and is ready to be used right away.

Finally, regarding the wood materials, it features a Sitka spruce top, mahogany sides and back, and a rosewood fingerboard, just like the J-45. The dynamic and bright sound characteristic of Gibson can be enjoyed from chord strumming to arpeggios and fingerpicking.

Based on the serial number, this instrument was manufactured in 2018. It shows minimal signs of use, and the sound is still fresh and youthful. This is a guitar that will allow you to enjoy the process of playing it and developing its sound over time.

▼The following adjustments were made after the guitar arrived at our store:

・Basic adjustments

Strings were changed and the neck was adjusted. Approximately 80% of the frets remain. The current string height is "6th string (12th fret): 2.5mm / 1st string (12th fret): 1.9mm". The neck has been adjusted to be almost perfectly straight, and currently there are no noticeable buzzing or dead spots. The truss rod has been confirmed to function correctly in both directions.

・Cleaning

The entire instrument has been cleaned according to the model's characteristics. We have cleaned it as meticulously as possible without compromising its texture or feel. We do not sell immediately after setup; instead, we allow a certain period to check for any changes in condition before beginning sales. We strive to ensure that the instrument is in a condition you can use with confidence after purchase.

▼ Exterior Condition

There is some tarnishing on the metal parts and approximately 2cm of lacquer discoloration on the back of the neck (near the 1st fret), but otherwise there are no noticeable scratches or dents, and it remains in good condition for a 2018 model (please check the product photos for details.
