You are bidding on a VERY NICE example of a WW2 German Wehrmacht 10x50 "Panzer" Binoculars & Case! This was brought back by US veteran at the end of the war, though I do not have any specific history.

The German Army used a wide variety of optical equipment, including a 6x30 (6 power magnification with 30mm objective lens, being the standard issued optics used by all branches of service).  Though this type was the standard, specialized personnel required stronger optics (such as this 10x50), and were issues to personnel on a limited basis.

Due to their compact and lightweight design, the Roof Prism style was favoured by most Panzer Tank Crews.

Made by Hendsolt Wezlar of a large tooled alloy and aluminum construction, these 10x50 power binoculars are in NICE used condition! The lens bodies were repainted post-war, however you can still see traces of the original paint underneath. Some slight marks and wear from and age handling. Clearly marked, "HENDSOLT WETZLAR 34176"...and..."DIALYT 10x50". The eye sockets are intact, and the focus adjustments still function PERFECTLY on both eye pieces. The optics are EXTREMELY CLEAR with NO spotting or haziness...and are in PERFECT collimation! Comes complete with the original Ersatz leather case. Would make a PERFECT addition to any collection or display!
