The product is a vintage Shonen Jump magazine from October 2005, issue number 34. It includes a Luffy Pirates Ambition PR001 card in addition to the magazine content. The magazine, published by VIZ Media, covers various popular manga series such as Naruto, Death Note, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and One Piece. Written by various manga artists and targeted towards a North American audience, this English-language magazine features a mix of manga, anime, and Japanese comics. A collectible item for fans of the popular Shonen Jump series, this magazine is a valuable piece for any avid collector of manga and anime memorabilia.

This was from an original sealed copy but the poly bag was so damaged it was not save-able. All inserts are included, even the mail in insert cards. Pages are all pristine condition in my opinion. Only aging is the outside edge from natural oxidation.

Please purchase responsibly and look at photos for your own final decision on condition.

For collectors completing their Viz Media Shonen Jump runs, the distinction between retail and consumer subscription issues is a crucial piece of manga history.

Published as a standard 12-month run (featuring one thick, large-format issue per month), this magazine was ground zero for a massive generation of Western fans. Between 2002 and 2010, these hefty physical issues were the very first place English readers experienced the debut "episodes" of absolute juggernauts like Naruto, One Piece, Bleach, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and Dragon Ball Z, long before Viz shifted the publication into a digital weekly format in 2012.

These historic monthly issues reached fans in two very different ways. Retail copies are highly sought after for their pristine display quality; shipped to bookstores in protected boxed lots, their polybags often featured vibrant promotional advertising artwork and remain completely free of defacing shipping labels.

In contrast, consumer subscription copies were mailed directly to readers' homes, meaning their packaging bears the original printed mailing addresses and postage stickers on the bag.

Whether you are hunting for a clean, ad-emblazoned retail copy or a nostalgic mail-delivered issue, both versions contain the exact same legendary debut chapters—and famously, the same highly coveted Yu-Gi-Oh! or Naruto promotional trading cards sealed inside.
