This 1959M PCGS Proof Penny exhibits a unique Silver appearance graded PR63RB. Pop 16/34HRB. Its appearance led us to believe it was the extremely rare SILVER 1959M Pattern Penny - one exists held at RAM Canberra. This subsequently proved incorrect. Just 1506 Proofs Pennies were minted. To those keen Variety Collectors interested in a unique Melbourne Proof Penny you’re unlikely to find a better example. Despite the large Mint number, comparatively few proofs have surfaced. PCGS PROOF numbers are 82BN,59RB & 9RD representing 10% of mintage which is exceptionally low.  )7/26)
