Amphora Campina Pair of Vases | Heron/Stork Bird Design | Art Deco, Czechoslovakia, c.1920s

A matched pair of Amphora Campina series ceramic vases decorated with a heron (or stork) in raised enamel on a matte tan/beige ground. Each vase features navy blue cobalt rim and base, two small lug handles at the neck, and a decorative border of raised dots. The bird is rendered in green, navy, tan and pink enamel with fine detail.

Maker: Amphora Porcelain Works, Teplitz-Turn, Bohemia (now Czech Republic)

Base marks: “CAMPINA” hand painted in blue, with embossed “Made in Czechoslovakia” and “Amphora” stamp

Period: Art Deco, c.1920s (post-1918 mark confirms Czechoslovakian period)
