About "Oribe" Glaze:
Oribe is one of the most iconic styles of Mino Ware, dating back to the Momoyama period (16th century). Named after the famous tea master Furuta Oribe, it features a deep, vibrant green glaze that exudes elegance and Zen-like tranquility.
Unique Characteristics (Kanyu - Crazing):
Each dripper is unique. You will find beautiful patterns known as "Kanyu" (crazing)—fine surface cracks created during the cooling process due to the different contraction rates of the clay and glaze. This is not a defect but a celebrated aesthetic in Japanese pottery, showcasing the "Wabi-Sabi" (beauty in imperfection).
