Eric John Dingwall (1890–1986) was a British anthropologist, psychical researcher and librarian.
This is a Presentation copy for Alan Gauld (British parapsychologist and psychologist), with ink inscription to front cover verso and a loosely inserted conversational letter from the author to Gauld dated Jan 14th 1967 regarding FWHM Letters and Gauld's mentions of 'plots.

Gauld and Dingwall were close colleagues and frequent correspondents within the SPR (Society for Psychical Research). Gauld even sat with certain mediums alongside Dingwall and was one of the few researchers Dingwall trusted to maintain high standards of investigation.

Condition: Paperback presentation copy with printed title to front cover. Slight discolouring to spine and edges. Front cover verso with dedication and signature from the author, an Ex Libris label of Alan Gauld and title with Gauld's inscription to top margin. Loosely inserted letter from author to recipient. Pages are complete and generally very clean, as shown.
