A stunning collection capturing the early brilliance of Aretha Franklin, The Queen of Soul brings together essential recordings from her formative years — a period where her jazz‑inflected phrasing, gospel‑rooted power and unmistakable emotional depth were already fully in bloom.
This WaxTime 180‑gram limited edition presents a beautifully curated selection of soul, jazz and blues‑leaning performances, showcasing Aretha’s extraordinary range across heartfelt ballads, spirited standards and early signature tracks. Pressed in Europe and housed in a clean stereo sleeve, this edition is a superb entry point into her pre‑Atlantic catalogue and a must‑have for collectors of classic soul.
