Item:   Vintage Sandy River Car Shops (SRCS) HOn2 Wood Model Kit Reefer - NOS

Sandy River Car Shops (SRCS) was a prominent manufacturer of craftsman-style kits for Maine Two-Foot narrow gauge railroads, specializing in On2, HOn2, and Sn2 scales. Founded by Peter Barney around 1976, these kits were considered the backbone of many Maine On2 model layouts, though the company is no longer in active production
 

Kit Details and Availability
  • Availability: SRCS kits are currently out of production. They are considered collectibles and can often be found on secondary markets such as eBay or through specialized Maine narrow gauge modeler groups.
  • Types of Kits: The line included a wide range of SR&RL rolling stock and structures, such as boxcars (e.g., 24' boxcar #55), coal cars (CFCL #425), pulpwood cars (#383), and structures like the Madrid Freight House.
  • Kit Features: These are "craftsman" kits, usually featuring wood strip construction, milled siding, and metal castings.

Terms of Sale

Return Reason: Buyer changed mind/remorse/ordered by mistake.  Keep in mind, before returning, the seller has advised the buyer they will not be refunded for the original shipping costs paid for by the seller where seller offers free shipping. This will be deducted from the refund. A prepaid return label will be provided for returns.  If a new item is returned opened, used or damaged there will be additional deductions of up to 50% as allowed by ebay.  Thank you
