This was the key tag used by the chief quartermaster of the SS United States.

This was required from the estate of Leslie Barton.

It is Well documented that he was Quartermaster for many years on the ship until it's last and final voyage.

The aluminum key tag is engraved with his name as Chief Quartermaster.

is engraved .

I do not know if the keys were for any rooms on the ship, but this is how this item was acquired.
