This nut is primarily used on Ford vehicles that run an M12 x 1.5 nuts. 

This nut is one of the most common on all of the roads in Britain. If you are using a Ford and you know you need M12 x 1.5 nuts - these are very likely what you are after. However if your exisitng nut features a tapered rotating washer (floating washer), we have those available in our store with a part number of "DC220" or "DC221", we would recommend replacing like-for-like.

In general they are a great replacement for the classic capped Ford nuts that eventually deform and swell making them very difficult to remove. Replacing with solid nuts like these is the best option to avoid being caught out.
