How to install CV Joint Axle:
1. Half shaft connects with the hub
Hub side installation
Align the half shaft's ball joint spline with the hub bearing's spline hole, tap gently or use a specialized tool to press it in, ensuring a perfect fit.
Install the hub nut preliminarily tighten it (the final torque needs to be adjusted after the vehicle is on the ground according to the repair manual requirements, usually 200-300 Nm).
2. Half shaft connects with the transmission
Transmission side installation
Align the inner ball joint spline with the transmission differential's output shaft, push it parallel until you hear a "click" sound (the retainer locks).
Shake the half shaft slightly to confirm there is no axial looseness, and ensure theer is fully engaged in the slot.
3. Installation and lubrication of the dust cover
Fill the specialized lubricant into the ball joint's interior (about 8% capacity), avoiding overfilling.
Slip the dust cover over the ball joint, and secure both ends with clamps, ensuring no twisting or air leakage (to avoid leakage).
