The globe will identify constellations in the night sky for any date and time in the northern hemisphere.

Designed originally by H.A. Rey of Curious George fame.

The device is comprised of 2 plexiglass bow

ls that nest inside one another. One shpere shows the horizon line and allows the

user to adjust the date and time of day, the second sphere shows the specific constellations that will be visible at that time. The spheres are separated by felt pads that allows you to spin without scratching.

There may be some very minor scratches on this vintage piece (see pictures).

Also included is the rare light accessory that attaches to the inner bowl. This allows the user to briefly illuminate the constellations on the bowl for easy identification.  Tested , and the light works fine.

2 of the 3 small tabs are missing from the base of the light accessory,  but it still sits in its place with no problem. Maybe attach with small velcro discs.

Also included is the plexiglass base ring for easy display.

A classic astronomical instrument that is both beautiful and functional.
