A comprehensive anthology of Eyeless In Gaza’s early Cherry Red era, Skeletal Framework presents five discs of new wave, synth‑pop, avant‑garde and atmospheric experimentation. Spanning 1981–1986, this collection captures the band’s distinctive blend of guitar, bass, keyboards and textural electronics, showcasing their evolution from angular post‑punk to richly expressive art‑pop. Housed in a multicoloured cardboard box, this set offers an immersive and meticulously curated overview of their formative years.
Volume One – Looking Daggers (Rock & Rhythmic)
Angular post‑punk, rhythmic experimentation and early raw energy. Tracks move between jagged guitar lines, urgent vocals and minimalist synth textures. This disc captures the band’s most driving, percussive material.
Volume Two – Rose Petal Knot (Pop‑Leanings & Melodic Work)
More melodic, structured and song‑focused. Bright synth‑pop moments, art‑pop hooks and cleaner arrangements. This volume highlights the band’s shift toward accessible yet still unconventional songwriting.
Volume Three – Your Rich Sky (Ballads & Atmospheric Pieces)
A softer, more introspective side: ballads, ambient‑leaning compositions and emotionally rich vocal performances. Gentle electronics, delicate guitar work and reflective moods dominate this disc.
Volume Four – Still Air (Atmospheric & Textural Songs)
Dreamlike, spacious and experimental. Ambient soundscapes, poetic vocals and slow‑moving textures create a deeply atmospheric listening experience. This is the band at their most ethereal.
Volume Five – Dreaming At Rain (Experiments & Improvisations)
Improvised pieces, rare recordings and exploratory instrumentals. Looser structures, avant‑garde ideas and raw creative sketches offer insight into the band’s process and experimental edge.
