PURCHASING AND SELLING CAR, MOTORCYCLE, YACHT, MACHINERY & TRACTOR BROCHURES + ASSOCIATED PARAPHERNALIA
Item: Six Days In May - Twenty Five Years of the Scottish Six Days Trial 1970 - 1994 by Jim McColm.
Pictures, words, tributes and an extensive list of results including day-by-day leaders for this event between the years 1970 - 1994, pictorially cataloguing all the action, the inspirational rides and the occasional disastrous fives. A veritable compilation of photos makes this a hard to put down read for all lovers of this event and its history.
By 1970 the Spanish invasion was well under way, but there's still a few Greeves and Cotton riders quite high up in the results list, but it's mainly Bultaco, Montesa and Ossa mounted riders getting the honours... names such as Andrews, Edwards, Rathmell, Thorpe and Farley. Skip to the end of the book and there's a few Japanese and Italian bikes in the mix, and the likes of Lampkin, Colley, Saunders and Jarvis right up there.
Publication year: 1995.
Number of pages: 194 pages (excluding covers).
Condition: In excellent condition. There is none of the typical sun fading on the book's cover and spine as per pictures. There is no yellowing of the pages within that are typical of books of this age. There is little else I can say about this other than if you really look hard in the pic's there are some light handling marks (very gentle creases if you like) though so minor I suspect you'll struggle to see them. It's clearly been carefully handled when read and remains in not too far off new condition. Obviously there are no damaged, missing/ripped pages, no turned-over page corners etc, and no greetings messages etc within.
Colour or black/white: Black and white throughout. Extensively illustrated with photos of various machines and shots from various race as well as off-road events.
Price: £37.50
