This highly collectible antique uniface brass tool check or tracking plate measures 4.75cm x 3cm and is oval shaped with CSD 4 stamped on.

I have no idea of the origin of this brass tool check, but it has a pleasing uncleaned natural patina to it, and would be a perfect addition for collectors of the type.
