Vintage Steamer Trunk Hardware Set – Hinges, Latches & Corners – Salvaged

Vintage steamer trunk hardware set, removed from a heavily worn and rotted trunk. This is an original set of metal fittings, likely early–mid 20th century, and ideal for restoration projects, crafts, or steampunk décor. Includes a mix of original components such as hinges, latches, brackets, and corner protectors (see photos for exact pieces and condition).

These parts show expected age-related wear including surface patina, oxidation, and signs of prior use. Metal trunk hardware of this era is prone to rusting over time, especially when exposed to moisture. To help stabilize the condition, all pieces have been cleaned using a vinegar solution and then neutralized with a baking soda and water rinse to help prevent further rust development.
