You are bidding on VINTAGE PHOTOGRAPH SHOWING BRITISH POLITICIAN DAVID LLOYD GEORGE AND THE LORD MAYOR OF CARDIFF in a MAYORAL PROCESSION THROUGH CARDIFF CITY CENTRE.

The image features David Lloyd George in Cardiff on October 23, 1930, where he was pictured before receiving the freedom of Cowbridge the following day. 

• The photo shows the procession as it passed the Rose and Crown pub in Kngsway, Cardiff (Now closed)

• The procession is led by two men in top hats and a uniform livery, both of whom are carrying ceremonial maces.

• Behind them are the Lord Mayor of Cardiff and David Lloyd George.

• Political Career: David Lloyd George was a prominent Welsh and British politician who served as Prime Minister from 1916 to 1922. 

• Connection to Cardiff: He had significant ties to Cardiff and South Wales. A statue of him stands outside the National Museum in Cardiff. 

• Historical Events: He notably addressed miners' representatives in Cardiff in 1915 during a major coal strike. 

  Civic Honors: The photograph captures him during an event where he was set to receive a civic honor, the Freedom of Cowbridge. 

• The photo measures approximately 8 ¼” x 6 ¼”

The photo has some very light wear and buffeting commensurate with age, apart from which it is in excellent condition with no rips, tears, writing or other obvious flaws.
